One Ring to rule them all, One ring to find them; One ring to bring them all. and in the darkness bind them.
Oops, sorry, wrong rings. You all are more interested in our WEDDING rings, not the one from Lord of the Ring (one of my all time favorite stories). Now, you all got to see my engagement ring back in January when we announced to the Internet our intentions to wed. That engagement band is part of a set, so naturally we got me the matching wedding band. My finger is now covered in bling!🙂 One thing that I love about my wedding band was a happy coincident. The only band of our style they had in stock when we went to get it happened to have 13 small diamonds on it. Thirteen is an awesome number – it’s my lucky number, we got engaged and married in 2013 and our wedding date was October 13! It’s like that band was meant to be!
Picking out Mike’s band turned out to be a little more challenging. It took months of trying on rings, and trying to decide before Mike happened to stumble across what was to be the ring. He found a yellow gold band (to match the gold in my rings) with a simple claddagh design on it. For those of you who don’t know the story of behind the claddagh it is as follows:
